The group of Derua/Waelkens is housed in the Lab of Protein Phosphorylation and Proteomics of the Faculty of Medicine at the KU Leuven. The group has a long standing experience in biochemical mass spectrometry in the context of structural analysis of proteins with the focus on (differential) phosphorylation analysis. Techniques include multidimensional LC, phospho/kinase enrichment strategies, phospho-specific MS scanning, whereas also expertise in mass spectrometry imaging is present. The group has a direct link with SyBioMa and the core facility for Phosphoproteomics. More recently, they are focusing on biomarker analysis and differential (phospho)-interactomics.
